Our Story
Sabal Pasupalan Tatha Krishi Farm Pvt. Ltd., fondly known as Sabal Farm (All Able Farm), was established on July 2, 2020, with a simple yet powerful mission — to reconnect people with nature and promote sustainable urban farming in Nepal.
Our journey began with a passionate team who saw a pressing gap in Nepal’s urban agriculture landscape. Most farms were located far from the city, causing challenges in the supply chain and disconnecting urban consumers from fresh, healthy food. We spent nearly a year searching for the right location and finally found our home in Gokarneshwor-02, Kathmandu, where we began the work of transforming a struggling farm into a thriving hub of hope, health, and sustainability.
🌿 From Struggles to Sustainability
The land we inherited had lost much of its fertility due to excessive chemical use. The farm was home to just two cows, and the previous owner had left after a failed venture. But we saw potential — and a purpose. We dedicated ourselves to studying why similar businesses were failing and why so many young people remained disconnected from food production. For instance, many in the city didn’t know where their milk came from or how eggs were hatched. We knew we had to bridge that gap.
We spent six months researching, planning, and building a model that could work for urban agriculture — a model that would prioritize education, organic practices, community involvement, and sustainability.
🚜 What We Do Today
- We have 50 cows, producing 250 liters of fresh milk daily.
- We generate 1,000 kg of compost fertilizer each month, supporting rooftop and home gardening.
- Our poultry unit includes local chickens, ducks, pigeons, and turkeys — all raised naturally under government-approved practices.
- We’ve embraced tunnel farming to grow off-season vegetables without harmful chemicals.
- Our team includes six full-time staff — including women and individuals with disabilities — and we provide seasonal employment to local workers during peak farming periods.
- We proudly welcome students, teachers, and visitors to our farm, offering hands-on learning experiences that bring people closer to nature and deepen their understanding of food sustainability.
🌱 Our Mission: Connect to Nature in Urban
We believe in small steps that lead to big change. By offering fresh milk, organic vegetables, naturally-raised eggs and poultry, and chemical-free compost, we are creating a more sustainable and health-conscious urban lifestyle.
🌍 Our Commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
We have aligned our mission with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 2030):
